10 Tips for Being Money-Smart

I am not a financial expert and I have zero training in this area, but I did have parents who talked openly about money, taught me and my brother how to be entrepreneurs, and gave us books on financial literacy when we were barely old enough to read.  I’ll put it this way – my brother bought himself a boat when he was 12 years old because of the money he made from his PAPER ROUTE.  We were kids who, for better or worse, knew how to save.

So I Married a Musician (Making a Long Distance Relationship Work)

My dad was in an 80’s Canadian rock band called Haywire (and yes, he had ‘the hair’).   Dad toured until I was 7 years old, which included a stint in Japan and 6 months in Norway – and this was before the days of Skype.  Even with two young kids at home, my mom made it look easy; she helped me put together these tips for making a long distance relationship work.
